Eisteddfod Teams

Incite Dance Eisteddfod teams are by invite only and are designed for students who are passionate about performing and demonstrate commitment, skill and dedication to their dance studies.

If you would like the opportunity to be part of our eisteddfod team, please send an email with your interest.

Cost is $350/term, which includes all of the below:

• Weekly one hour rehearsal where students will learn their performance pieces

• Weekly one hour Ballet class

• Weekly half hour Triple T class, concentrating on technique, turns, tricks, strength and flexibility

  All eisteddfod students must attend all classes within the eisteddfod program, in order to compete.

  Each age group will learn and perform both a jazz and a lyrical dance. These dances will be performed at eisteddfods throughout the Gold Coast.

  Costumes vary depending on the style of routine but we do our best to keep costs down where possible. Each costume can be worn up to 5 times throughout the year across 2-4 eisteddfods, plus our end of year concert.

  The following requirements and behaviours must be fulfilled by all Incite Dance eisteddfod students:

• Must also enrol in at least x1 recreational class, e.g. a lyrical, jazz, hip hop, contemporary or an acrobatics class, this does not include ballet as it is a part of the eist. program;

• Attend each eisteddfod as we are a TEAM - when one team member is absent, the rest of the team is let down.

• A focused work ethic during each and every class - this team is a representation of our dance studio.

• Attend any extra rehearsals that may be held on weekends or during holidays, unless there are exceptional circumstances (family commitments, illness etc.)

• Respectful behaviour towards your fellow dance students and members of other dance groups, at all times.

• Must wear Incite Dance uniform to all competitions, preferably Incite Dance jacket.
